Thread: Butterfly Brocade outfit's sandals

    Question

I purchased this outfit shortly after it was introduced by AG. The sandals NEVER stay on the feet. Do these sandals now come with elastic backs (the little part that slips around the heel) rather than the useless non-elastic piece of material mine have? The little pieces I have don't stay on the heel, they just fall down and are completely useless, and so the shoes are pretty much useless, too. I'd like to call AG CS and perhaps trade these in for a new pair if they're now using elastic. Anybody know?

I got mine when it first came out, too. I agree that the shoes are a bit useless as they are. The only advice I have on them is, as soon as you put them on the doll, slip her foot back as far as it will go, they're slightly less likely to fall off.

The website picture looks the same as it did before, so I assume they haven't changed them

I bought this outfit at AGPC in January of this year and the sandals still had the fabric strap.

I use small clear rubber bands to keep them on (an idea I learned from this board). Also, one of our sandals is much harder to put on than the other one. I was wondering if anyone else had that problem too.

I recently purchased it, and it's just a clear piece of plastic with little elacticity to it. One sandal always wants to fall off, and the other one stays on no matter what. I take issue with the poolside outfit sandals. They have no elastic at all and won't stay on!

    Yup, same problem here!

I use those tiny clear rubberbands around the shoes when I play with a doll wearing this outfit.

    Annoying.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I just bought this on ebay a couple weeks ago and I thought the same thing! They are also a different shade of purple than the shirt, so Jess has been wearing the sandals from the Tropical Breezes outfit with the poolside plaid dress. They're actually pretty cute together!

I guess I will break out the rubber bands! Whenever I dress anybody in this outfit, they usually end up tip-toeing around in bare feet!

Hmmph! And CS told me that they had not heard of any complaints other than mine?!!! I have had three replacements due to the fabric heel straps being totally different lengths (one too small, one too large). They kindly offered to send a return tag so I could send back the whole outfit at their expense, but that doesn't solve the problem. Maybe I will try again if they have replaced the fabric with elastic. Love those hair chopsticks!

I bought a pair of brown mocassins online for about 2 bucks and they go great with almost anything....
